The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is publishing a dedicated support track for the years 2025-2026, with an investment of approximately 22 million shekels, intended for laying hens in communities adjacent to the fence on the Lebanese border.
The procedure is part of the implementation of the government's decision to strengthen settlement and agriculture in the conflict line areas, and is intended to allow farmers in the conflict line to complete the transition to modern cage-free chicken coops, in accordance with the policy of the Ministry for the Promotion of Food Security and Animal Welfare.
Support will be provided for investments in relevant areas in the laying industry, and will allow breeders to significantly upgrade the production and labor infrastructure on the farm.
Among other things, it will be possible to receive support for the purchase of advanced agricultural machinery and equipment, the implementation of innovative technologies for poultry management, the construction and expansion of agricultural buildings, as well as the development of supporting infrastructure such as a water system, food centers, and mixing plants.
In addition, the procedure also includes support for the establishment of egg sorting facilities, improvement of internal infrastructure on the farm such as roads and fencing, as well as the establishment of facilities for the treatment of by-products, as part of environmental efficiency.
