Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir held a situation assessment and approval of plans for the continuation of fighting in the Northern Command today (Sunday) together with the General Staff Forum.
The Chief of Staff later visited the headquarters of Brigade 401, met with the acting commander of Brigade 401, Lieutenant Colonel (ret.), and spoke with the brigade's commanders and fighters.
The Chief of Staff expressed his appreciation to the commanders and fighters and sent wishes for a speedy recovery and return to the IDF's central command center to the brigade commander, Lieutenant Colonel Meir Biderman, who was injured in an incident in southern Lebanon last week.

Zamir: "The IDF continues to monitor regional developments, prepared to return to intense fighting immediately and to further weaken the Iranian terrorist regime and its capabilities. We will maintain readiness and flexibility for action as long as necessary. In the Northern Command, we continue to attack Hezbollah in all dimensions. I emphasize - the security of the residents and the security of our forces are above all else. Wherever you have operated, you have left a bruised and beaten enemy fighting for his life.".
