The Rambam Medical Center in Haifa updated this morning (Thursday) that the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Meir Biderman, and Sergeant S., a veteran fighter in the IDF Spokesperson's Operational Documentation Division, have returned to full consciousness.
The hospital reported that the condition of the two, who were hospitalized in the intensive care unit, is now considered stable and their lives are not in danger.
The two were seriously injured yesterday in two different operational incidents in southern Lebanon, both as a result of explosive drone explosions launched by the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
Following the brigade commander's injury, the IDF announced that Col. (res.) H., who currently serves as the brigade's chief of staff, will temporarily fill Biderman's place in command of the 401st Brigade fighters.
In parallel with the medical update, Rambam published footage of the evacuation of Biderman's helicopter immediately after the impact. The video shows an Air Force helicopter landing at the special landing pad of the Haifa hospital, with medical teams quickly evacuating the injured to ambulances, and from there directly to the emergency room for life-saving treatment.
Sergeant S. is one of the most veteran and respected fighters in the IDF Spokesperson's Operational Documentation Division. After her serious injury, the IDF published operational materials and documentation that S. had managed to photograph and document right from the battlefields in Lebanon before she was injured.
