The proposal is expected to reach the Knesset plenum in a preliminary reading next Wednesday - and receive approval.
The moves to bring the elections forward are being made after the Torah Flag faction announced to Netanyahu that it had lost confidence in him after the draft law was not advanced. Torah Flag even went as far as to say that they no longer feel committed to the right-wing bloc.
In a letter he wrote to the Degel Knesset members, Maran HaGard Landau wrote: "You have done your mission faithfully and above all else. We have no trust in the Prime Minister, we no longer feel like his partners. We are not committed to him. And from now on, we will only do what we think is best for Haredi Jewry, and in our opinion, elections are needed as soon as possible. All kinds of talk about a bloc no longer exist.".
