After the assassination of the commander of the Radwan Force in the Hadahiya neighborhood of Beirut: Alarms were activated at noon (Friday) in Acre, the neighborhoods, and other areas in the Western Galilee due to rocket fire from Lebanon.
Three rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Israel - one was intercepted and two fell in open areas.
An IDF spokesman said, "A number of launches were identified that crossed from Lebanese territory towards Israeli territory. The Air Force intercepted one launch and the others fell in open area, there were no casualties.".
Fragments of an interceptor were found on a house in the Western Galilee. No injuries were reported. In addition, a woman was slightly injured on her way to the protected area.
An IDF spokesman announced some time earlier that, in accordance with the assessment of the situation, the IDF was preparing for the possibility of firing from Lebanese territory targeting the northern region - this in light of recent developments.
The IDF emphasized that at this stage there is no change in the Home Front Command's guidelines, but the public is asked to be vigilant, act responsibly, and obey the guidelines.
It was also stated that if there are changes to the guidelines, the public will be updated accordingly.
It was also reported that the Air Force launched a wave of attacks in southern Lebanon to thwart the expected barrage towards Israel.
The IDF spokesman's statement came after residents of the northern authorities received a message from the IDF stating that there was an assessment that shooting was being carried out.
