Terrorists from the village of Al-Mu'ayr in Binyamin penetrated the grazing areas of one of the farms adjacent to the Alon Road last night - and poisoned nearly ten water cisterns throughout the area.

The terrorists even broke locks that secured some of the water wells, and poured a toxic substance mixed with oil into them - designed to ensure that the poison would float and rise to the top in the first bucket that was pumped for the animals.

The shepherd from the farm, who arrived at noon (Tuesday) to water his flock at one of the wells, noticed a suspicious substance in the water and immediately stopped the sheep from drinking.

A few minutes later, several sheep began to develop severe symptoms of poisoning, foaming at the mouth and convulsing.

The shepherd alerted the farm residents and security forces, who began searching the area and discovered that the other nearby pits had also been poisoned.

The shepherds attempted to provide life-saving veterinary care to the injured sheep, while police collected evidence from the scene.

This is the ninth poisoning incident to have occurred in the past two years, and is part of a new and expanding terrorist campaign against Jewish shepherds in Judea and Samaria.
