IDF forces in the Southern Command and the Shin Bet attacked yesterday (Tuesday) in the northern Gaza Strip and killed the terrorist Iyad Ahmed Abdel Rahman Shambari, head of the operations department in Hamas' military intelligence headquarters.
Shambari served in recent years as head of the operations department in the terrorist organization's military intelligence, and as part of his role, he was responsible for compiling operational situational pictures of the entire Gaza Strip.
The terrorist was a central figure involved in gathering intelligence on IDF forces, in order to plan and execute terrorist plots against our forces, and posed an immediate threat to IDF forces operating in the area.
In addition, he took an active part in planning the raid by the Hamas terrorist organization as part of the murderous massacre it carried out on October 7.
