
Police at the Sadot police station began searching last week following a report of an ambulance being stolen from a medical team that had arrived to treat a Zemer resident in his 30s who was waiting for them on Highway 57, near the Beit Lid intersection, when he was suspected of being in a coma.
During the treatment, the suspect attacked the medical team, got into the ambulance and began driving south on Highway 4 - until he abandoned it near the Bnei Dror interchange.
The Sadot police station, led by investigators from the technological scene and the Ministry of Investigation, launched an accelerated investigation, which concluded two days later and arrested the suspect.
The suspect's detention was extended in accordance with the findings of the investigation, at the conclusion of which an indictment was filed against him today by the police prosecution unit.
