Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed this evening (Tuesday) the exposure and destruction of Hezbollah's "cities of refuge" in southern Lebanon.
""Today we blew up a huge Hezbollah terror tunnel. We are destroying their terror infrastructure, we are killing dozens of their terrorists - and we are still doing it. We are operating within the security zone, south of the Litani, north of the Litani, in the Baqaa in northern Lebanon.".
He revealed that he had ordered the promotion of finding solutions to the threat of explosive drones against IDF forces.
""I gave instructions a few weeks ago on a special project to eliminate the drone threats. It will take time - but we will blow that up too.".
Hezbollah has recently been challenging the IDF forces with new FPV drones, also known as racing drones. This is a weapon that has become one of the main weapons in combat arenas in recent years.
These are small, relatively inexpensive tools to manufacture and maintain. The drones are operated using special binoculars that show the operator the field of view through the drone's camera in real time. This capability allows for precise control and maneuvering in complex spaces.
Drones have advanced mobility capabilities, including rapid acceleration and flight in built-up areas, along with the ability to sneak into buildings through narrow openings such as windows and chimneys. These capabilities make it difficult to identify and thwart the threat early.
