American military officials are formulating a series of new plans to damage Iran's defense capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz - in the event that negotiations between the United States and Iran fail.

According to a report on CNN last night (Friday night), the targets being examined include speedboats, vessels that lay naval mines, and other vessels that helped the Iranians block the Strait of Hormuz.

However, US security officials admit that attacking the vessel alone will not guarantee the immediate opening of the strait.

Additionally, as part of a broader campaign of economic and political pressure, the possibility of attacking Iranian strategic infrastructure and energy facilities is being considered. The goal of these attacks is to force Tehran to return to the negotiating table at a disadvantage, while implementing the Trump administration's past threats against the regime's economic assets.

Another option being considered by senior American military officials is a targeted attack on senior Iranian military leaders who are perceived by the Americans as sabotaging or undermining the negotiations, such as Revolutionary Guard Commander Ahmad Vahidi.

Meanwhile, the aircraft carrier "George H. W. Bush" joined the Central Command sector, bringing the number of American aircraft carriers in the Middle East to three.
