Will Lag BaOmer in Meron pass peacefully? President Donald Trump announced tonight (Friday night), in a post he published on the social network Truth Social, that the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by three weeks.
The post was published after the president participated in direct talks between Israel and Lebanon held at the White House.
Trump wrote in the post: "The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, Vice President of the United States, J. D. Vance, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa, met today with senior representatives of Israel and Lebanon in the Oval Office.".

""The meeting was very good! The United States will work with Lebanon to help it defend itself against Hezbollah.".
The President added: "The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by three weeks. I look forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future. It was a great honor to be a part of this historic meeting!".
Trump announced the extension of the ceasefire, even though Hezbollah violated the ceasefire once again this evening, launching four rockets toward the Shtula area in the Western Galilee.
All rockets were intercepted by air defense systems. No hits were recorded in Israeli territory and no casualties were reported.
Since this morning, Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for five attacks against IDF forces in southern Lebanon. In one of them, Hezbollah terrorists launched an explosive drone at our forces - and a reserve fighter was slightly injured and required treatment.
