Degel Hatorah chairman, MK Moshe Gafni, claimed this evening (Thursday), in an interview with Kol Hai, that Naftali Bennett approached him at the beginning of his return to the political system and wanted to sit with him - in order to go with the Haredim.

""When he realized the place was occupied, he went to the other side," Gafni said. .

Gafni surprised when he did not rule out a meeting with Avigdor Lieberman in the next government. "You don't hear him that much anymore. He's not really aggressive anymore. He was with us in the municipal elections, he would ask me things. This is a different situation. This is not Yair Lapid.".

Regarding the conscription law, he said: "The law itself has problems and is very difficult to implement. It needs to be reviewed by Torah scholars, and they will decide.".

When asked whether Degel HaTorah would compete together with Agudat Yisrael, he replied: "There was a meeting about this just today, we sat for several hours and the Torah luminaries will decide.".

On the division of labor with Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri - he said: "There is a division of labor between me and Deri, he gets the jobs and I deal with the fundamental matters.".
