The Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security are launching a new online service that significantly streamlines the process of obtaining exemption from licensing and registration fees for agricultural tractors. The new service eliminates the need to physically visit licensing offices and reduces bureaucracy for farmers.
As part of the move, an application can be submitted to receive a recommendation for exemption from registration fees and vehicle fees for an agricultural tractor in a digital and accessible manner, and after the application is approved, the vehicle license will be updated automatically. The updated license can be issued in the government's personal area, without the need for a physical visit. In addition, the deregistration process will also be carried out completely online.
According to the law, a tractor used solely for agricultural purposes is eligible for exemption from licensing and registration fees. Until now, farmers were required to first apply to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to obtain a permit, and then visit the licensing office several times to update their vehicle license. The new service unifies the process, shortens processing times, and reduces the bureaucratic burden.
The Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security continue to lead efforts to make services more accessible and reduce bureaucracy, while listening to the needs emerging from the field and translating them into practical solutions for farmers as part of strengthening Israeli agriculture and ensuring the food security of Israeli citizens.
Minister of Transportation Miri Regev"We continue to lead a true service revolution for Israeli citizens, with an emphasis on reducing bureaucracy and making advanced digital services accessible. This move provides a direct response to needs that have arisen from the field and allows farmers to save valuable time, avoid physical arrival and carry out processes in a simpler, faster and more convenient way. This is part of a broad concept that places the citizen at the center and works to streamline public service through innovation and technology.""
Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, Moshe Ben Zaken"The new service is another example of how we are working to connect systems, simplify processes, and provide more efficient and advanced service in accordance with Minister Regev's policy. Through cooperation between ministries and the implementation of digital solutions, we have been able to significantly shorten the duration of treatment and make a complex process simple and automated. We will continue to promote measures that will reduce burdens, save resources, and improve the service experience for the entire public.""
