Rishon LeZion Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar comes out against the phenomenon of self-proclaimed 'Kabbalists' and 'Tzaddikim' that is sweeping the public.

The Gersham added: "We need to be careful because people are not careful. There are all kinds of pictures. One comes who knows a lot, another is humble and lowly in spirit, a person who hasn't read two lines of the Gemara. And if he reads and remembers - does that make him a great person? People make mistakes and mislead and don't want to learn the truth.
