Minister Miri Regev held a briefing ahead of the torch-lighting ceremony and noted that the security reality forces preparations for two situations in which the ceremony will take place - recorded and broadcast live.
""We are preparing for two scenarios at the same time: a live broadcast of the ceremony - that is our goal. We are also preparing to broadcast a filmed ceremony in case the ceasefire does not hold or we have other security incidents," said Regev.
""The Israeli government approved my recommendation that the central theme of the ceremony be 'Powers of Renewal.' A feeling of returning to life pulsates in all avenues of activity. The ceremony will bring those powers to expression - not only through the torch relays - but also in its content, which will greatly move the Israeli public.".
