Zalman Stubb (37), a musician and creator from Jerusalem, is currently publishing his debut book, "Wandering." It is a Hebrew travelogue that does not settle for descriptions of landscapes or timetables, but rather weaves physical journeys around the world – from the Himalayas in India to the streets of Jerusalem – with rare inner depth, questions of identity, spiritual search, and witty humor that accompanies the reader along the way.

""Wandering" tells the story of a man walking a long path; of a never-ending search and the desire to connect the stormy wind with life itself. With great honesty and a fascinating literary style, the author weaves personal experiences and a unique perspective on identity and a complex relationship – with the Creator and with himself.

""A vagabond who wanders around all the time and never visits home is on a journey of escape, not a journey of discovery...""

Shutov distinguishes between two types of wandering: one that is an escape from life, versus one that is a discovery and deepening. The book belongs to the second type – it does not impose answers, but rather raises new questions that change the way we look at the world. As Shutov himself writes: "Whoever opens this book will not finish it in the same place.".

The book is intended for anyone who is ready to embark on a journey, and not necessarily a physical one. "Everyone has a journey," says Tove, "and everyone needs stopping points like these." Whether you are traveling the world or are immersed in routine, "Wandering" invites you to re-approach your childish heart that has been roughened, to get excited and to feel.

Just a few weeks ago, Zalman launched a music album of the same name, inspired by his travels. The new book serves as a narrative and theoretical complement to the songs on the album, adding an additional dimension to them – one that stands on its own even without the musical angle.

Together or separately, Zalman Tov presents an impressive work that was carved in his soul and heart over years, and over thousands of kilometers of a fascinating and thought-provoking journey.
