After continuous intelligence monitoring by the Military Intelligence Service, since the largest attack in Lebanon in 'Roar of the Lion': the IDF published official data on Operation 'Eternal Darkness' carried out on the 'Seventh of Passover' this afternoon (Monday).
According to the army's announcement, the intelligence monitoring of the Military Intelligence Service confirms that over 250 terrorists and commanders of the terrorist organization Hezbollah were eliminated in the attack - including dozens in Beirut.
The attack targeted the organization's command and control structures in Beirut, the Bekaa, and southern Lebanon.
The IDF revealed the names of some of the senior commanders who were eliminated, who formed the professional backbone of Hezbollah.
The IDF noted that the commanders who were eliminated were responsible for key areas, including intelligence, logistics, and firepower capabilities - including:
Abu Muhammad Habib - Deputy Commander of Hezbollah's missile force, active throughout the war and in Operation "Northern Arrows", in particular launching missiles at the State of Israel. Habib led the processes of strengthening the missile unit in recent times.
Hassan Mustafa Nasser - Commander of Hezbollah's Logistical Assistance Headquarters, a veteran commander in the organization who was responsible for smuggling and storing weapons in Lebanon and was a central factor in Hezbollah's reconstruction attempts.
Ali Qassem, Abu Ali Abbas and Ali Higazi - Senior commanders in the intelligence unit of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which is responsible for building an intelligence picture in the State of Israel, including forming a bank of targets for attack and gathering intelligence.
The IDF noted that, along with the senior commanders, dozens of commanders responsible for the artillery and defense sectors in the organization's various units were also eliminated.
It was also reported that the count of those killed is continuing, and that the number may rise.
A senior source in the Intelligence Branch commented on the intensity of the attack: "Within one minute, we hit dozens of Hezbollah headquarters and eliminated hundreds of terrorists. The elimination of the commanders resulted in a strategic and broad-based attack that affected all dimensions of the organization's capabilities. These are commanders with rich experience and knowledge that were cut off.".
According to the source, the body count and damage assessment are continuing: "We have not yet finished assessing the impact of the blow and we are discovering additional eliminated terrorists every day.".
