In a joint operation by Yachab'l Lahav 433 and the Shin Bet, Ami Gaidrov, a 22-year-old resident of Haifa, was arrested during the month of March on suspicion of committing security offenses at the direction of Iranian intelligence elements and aiding the enemy in the war.
During his interrogation by the IDF and Shin Bet, it emerged that Gaidrov had been in contact with an Iranian official since August 2025.
As part of this relationship, he carried out numerous tasks for large sums of money.
The investigation revealed that, at the direction of his operator, Gaidrov agreed to produce explosives that were intended to harm senior figures.
According to a report by Lee Ayish on Channel I24, the senior figure the explosive was intended for is Naftali Bennett.
In order to maintain contact with his operators, Gaidrov purchased dedicated phones. He also rented an apartment in Haifa where he manufactured the explosives, while documenting his activities in videos and photos that were sent to his operator - as evidence of his completion of the tasks.
During Gaidrov's contact with the Iranian agent, he shared with several friends and even assisted them in purchasing raw materials required to produce explosives.
As a result, several additional Israeli citizens, residents of the north, were arrested for questioning, including Sergei Libman and Edward Shubatyuk.
The investigation revealed that they assisted Gaidrov in purchasing materials, hiding the explosives, and even conducting an experiment to test the effectiveness of the explosives, each according to their part.

The investigation also revealed that during the "Roar of Hari" war, Gaidrov was instructed by his operator to provide the Iranians with photos of Haifa Port and missile landing sites in the northern region - and was even asked to locate a rental property from which the port area could be viewed in order to place a permanent camera there.
For all the activity, Gaydrov received over 70,000 NIS, which was mostly transferred to him via digital wallets.
A prosecutor's statement was filed in his case today (Thursday). An indictment is expected to be filed against him and others in the coming days.
