Public transportation is returning to full routine: What starts operating and when?

In accordance with the Home Front Command's instructions: The Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety is working to restore the public transportation system to full operation, while maintaining the safety of passengers and workers in the transportation systems.

All operating entities were prepared in advance for a scenario of returning to normal, and operational and engineering actions are now being carried out to restore service as soon as possible.

Buses: In areas that were defined as "green" according to Home Front Command guidelines, the Ministry of Transportation has instructed public transportation operators to move to maximum activity starting tomorrow.

Due to the limitations of updating the systems at this time, you should check with the public transportation operators' telephone service centers to receive the most reliable information.

In the settlements on the confrontation line in the north, public transportation continues to operate at this stage, with a volume of approximately 60% of service, in accordance with security restrictions and Home Front Command guidelines.

Israel Railways: The train operates a dedicated schedule tonight (holiday night) between 9:30 PM and approximately 1:30 AM.

In addition, two night lines operate from midnight to 5:00 AM between the stations of Haifa Carmel Beach, Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Ben Gurion Airport, Bishkek Center and Jerusalem.

At the same time, preparations are being made to carry out all the actions required to return to full service in a phased manner in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines.

Dankel – the light rail in Gush Dan: All stations will be fully open starting tomorrow morning.

Kfir – Jerusalem Light Rail (JNET): The Jerusalem light rail will operate tonight and throughout tomorrow, until midnight, with the closest possible frequency to the operating schedule.

Cable car in Haifa: In accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, the cable car will not open at this stage.

The Ministry of Transportation continues to monitor security developments and Home Front Command guidelines, and will update the public on any changes.

The return to full activity will be done gradually and responsibly, with the aim of ensuring safe, continuous and reliable service for all public transportation passengers in Israel.
