Shas Chairman, MK Aryeh Deri, arrived today (Thursday) to visit the sick of the Chairman of the Religious Council in Ramat Gan, Attorney Gedaliyahu Ben Shimon, who was critically injured in a stabbing attack last Thursday on Bialik Street in Ramat Gan - and returned to life by the grace of God.

The visit to the Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv was accompanied by the hospital's CEO, Prof. Eli Spercher, the Chief of Staff of the Minister of Health, Israel Ozan, and Asher Medina.

Deri closely monitored the medical treatment he was receiving, recited a "hymn of thanks" with him for the miracle of his rescue, and blessed him to grow stronger and return to work for the public.

Ben Shimon, a resident of the city of Bnei Brak, woke up on Tuesday morning and spoke with his doctors and family.

He was critically injured in the attack - and the doctors saved his life. In remarks made by Aryeh Deri, flanked by Ichilov CEO Prof. Eli Spercher, outside Ben Shimon's room - he said hours after the attack: "There was a very great miracle here. Rabbi Gedaliyahu is from a family of great righteous men. I heard from the doctors about his serious condition when he arrived for surgery, and by the grace of God they managed to save his life.".

Security camera footage shows the terrorist, a 20-year-old Arab from Jat, emerging from behind Ben Shimon and attacking him repeatedly, while the injured man lies on the ground and struggles with his legs. The terrorist is then seen fleeing the scene. Eyewitnesses said that "the stabbing man shouted Allahu Akbar.".

Shortly afterwards, after a chase, the police arrested the terrorist. The Shin Bet is involved in the investigation.

Continue to pray for the complete recovery of Gedaliah ben Yeshua.
