Throughout Operation "Raven's Roar," the IDF is conducting a continuous effort to harm the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij unit, as part of which hundreds of headquarters and command and control centers were destroyed throughout Iran, and in Tehran in particular.
Over the past few weeks, the IDF has systematically operated against the unit's command centers, and later identified a shift of forces to operating from alternative headquarters - which were also attacked.
After the repeated attacks, a redeployment of Basij forces was detected, which deployed and operated from positions in public spaces in the heart of Tehran.
Following the identification, the Air Force, under precise intelligence guidance from the Intelligence Directorate, attacked Basij soldiers operating in more than 10 different positions throughout Tehran during the day (Tuesday).
Among the targets, a Basij and Revolutionary Guards emergency position that had previously been used as a soccer club was targeted, illustrating the depth of the damage to its infrastructure and the regime's method of operation - deliberate and cynical use of the civilian population as a shield for the terrorist regime's activities.
The IDF says: "The recent attacks, along with the assassination of the unit's commander, Alam Reza Soleimani, are causing a deep and lasting damage to the capabilities of the Basij unit. In addition to being part of the regime's armed forces, the Basij forces have been responsible for years for executing terrorist plots, while at the same time leading the violent repression mechanisms against Iranian citizens in internal protests.".
