Defense Minister Israel Katz today (Wednesday) held a situation assessment in the pit together with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Defense Ministry Director General Maj. Gen. Amir Baram, Head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, Head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Itzik Cohen, Home Front Command Commander Maj. Gen. Shai Klapper, and other senior officials in the defense establishment.
Defense Minister: "I welcome the absolutely impressive achievements in attack and defense and the activity together with the American partner. The surviving Iranian leadership is a bunch of cowards who prey on women, children, and the elderly in the streets, specializing in massacres and killings of civilians - and they are already threatening to murder and slaughter anyone who protests.".
But as we see, Chief of Staff, when they encounter real force - they flee like mice into the tunnels, just like the Hamas leadership in Gaza. Today they are actually aligned with Hamas and from there they give orders to shoot at civilians and children in Israel and throughout the region - that's exactly what's left of them, a leadership aligned with Hamas.
The IDF, together with its partner, is carrying out impressive and systematic activity to harm the regime's own members, the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij. Many thousands have been killed, and because they are shutting down the internet, they are covering up.
I understand that the cold storage rooms in the hospitals are full and we are talking about terrorist forces here now - not civilians - and we definitely need to continue doing that. We will continue to act and crush the regime and also the strategic goals of this regime in Tehran and throughout Iran day after day, target after target.
We will continue to do this also to enable the Iranian people to rise up and act and overthrow this regime. Ultimately, it is up to them.
