The Air Force foiled an attempted missile launch from Iran toward Israel last night (Monday) - after identifying a launch cell operating in the west of the country.
According to an IDF statement, the identification was carried out when a number of soldiers in the Iranian regime's ballistic missile and unmanned aerial vehicle array were preparing to launch it towards Israel.
Immediately after identification, an Air Force aircraft was dispatched to the scene, first attacking the missile launcher and destroying it, and later eliminating the launch team.
According to the IDF, the attack was carried out just minutes before the planned firing at Israeli territory.
The IDF emphasized that the forces continue to operate continuously against the ballistic missile system infrastructure in western Iran, with the aim of reducing the scope of firing at Israel as much as possible.
