Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accompanied by Health Minister Haim Katz, visited the National Health Commission last night (Monday) to closely monitor the medical system's readiness for continued fighting.

In his remarks at the National Defense Ministry, the Prime Minister referred to the direct campaign against Iran and its proxies: "Our ambition to bring the Iranian people to throw off the yoke of tyranny, ultimately depends on them. But there is no doubt that in the actions taken so far, we are breaking their bones - and our hands are still outstretched.".

""If we succeed together with the Iranian people, then we will bring a permanent end to such things in the lives of nations, we will bring about change, and are already bringing about a major change in the status of Israel.".

Netanyahu emphasized that civilian power and faith in the treatment system are a critical element on the defensive side of the war: "Part of this struggle, a large part of it is on the offensive side, a huge part is on the defensive side. The defensive side is first and foremost, before anything else, the will of the people and the power of the citizens. The power of the citizens is also the power of those who treat the citizens, and that is you. The faith that you treat them is very great, and it is thanks to you.".

During the visit, Netanyahu received a comprehensive overview from the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Moshe Bar Siman Tov, on the real-time management of hospitals, the availability of staff, and the strategic emergency stockpile.

The preparation of hospitals operating in protected areas, expanding the capacity to absorb casualties, and maintaining continuity of care through health funds and hospitals, even during the fighting, was also presented.

In addition, efforts to protect the civilian home front were presented, including medical and psychological response to casualties, assistance to evacuees, and medical services provided to the public.
