Nechama and David Resnik, the late parents of journalist Ran Resnik, passed away on Friday, 12 hours apart.
Resnik, the health correspondent for Israel Hayom, said goodbye to his parents in a post he published on social media.
""My dear parents, farmers and sons of farmers from the Ein Vered and Tzofit moshavims in Sharon, lovers of the State of Israel and the Land of Israel, patriots in every fiber of their being, passed away on Friday, 12 hours apart," he wrote.
He eulogized: "A huge pit, an endless longing, an ocean of sadness.".
The family's obituary emphasized the special bond between the two: "They lived together in love, faith, and devotion for many years, and passed away united even on their final journey.".
The parents will be laid to rest tomorrow at the Lev Hasharon/Tel Mond Regional Cemetery.
