The Central Beverage Company, the manufacturer of Coca-Cola in Israel, launched a new 250 ml can, in addition to the 330 ml can that continues to be sold as usual.

According to a report by Einav Kerner in the Israeli News Agency, the new can contains about 25% less drink, while the difference in price for the retailer is less than 10%. The meaning for the consumer: almost the same price, for less quantity.

'The Patriots' host Yinon Magal came out against the new can and also criticized the company's owner, Dodi Wertheim, who is also the owner of Keshet 12.

Magal wrote on his X account: "Coca-Cola has launched a new 250 ml can, in addition to the 330 ml can that continues to be sold as usual.".

He explained the problem: "The new can contains about 25% less drink, while the price difference for the retailer is less than 10%. The meaning for the consumer: almost the same price, for less quantity.".

Magal linked the ownership of the beverage company to the ownership of the competing television channel - and added: "By the way, the owner of Coca-Cola is Dodi Wertheim - the owner of Keshet 12, but if it's poison - then to the end.".

The central beverage company said: "The 330 cans continue to be sold as usual at all points of sale. The 250 cans are an additional size to the company's variety of bottle and can sizes, for the convenience of the consumer and his preferences. The price to the consumer is determined by the retailer alone, in accordance with the law.".
