In a combined operational activity by the Maoz unit and other units from the Prison Service's Alternatives to Incarceration Division, and with the assistance of the Israel Police, a supervised individual who escaped from an electronic handcuff was arrested today (Sunday) in central Israel.

The guard, who tore off the electronic handcuff and escaped, was located by detectives when he arrived at the Eshel prison complex in the south to pick up a released prisoner.

Upon being identified, the suspect tried to flee, but was arrested by the force in a quick cordon.

He was taken to prison.
