An unusual event occurred this morning (Saturday) in Gan Yavne: A 45-year-old man collapsed during morning prayers in a synagogue - and was taken to the hospital after resuscitation.

The drama took place during the HaNetz prayer - at 5:44 AM - in a synagogue on Menachem Begin Road in Gan Yavne.

Pini Sharer, Chaim Gottesman and Avrimir Itzkowitz, paramedics at United Hatzalah: "We were told by the synagogue worshippers that they saw the man collapse - and began CPR, using a defibrillator stationed at the scene.

""We continued prolonged CPR, and after miraculously his heart started beating again, he was taken to the hospital under anesthesia and on a ventilator in stable condition.".
