Sky News in Arabic reported today (Thursday) from a Palestinian source that an understanding has been reached between Hamas and the United States whereby the terrorist organization will hand over its weapons and maps of tunnels in the Gaza Strip - in exchange for being accepted as a political organization.
According to the Palestinian source, "the understandings within the framework of which the organization will disarm will allow those interested in Hamas' political and military leadership to leave the Gaza Strip with an American promise that Israel will not harm it in the future.".
He emphasized that "the Americans agreed to integrate a number of Hamas police officers and officials in the past into the management of the 'new Gaza' on the condition that they undergo an Israeli-American security check.".

The American administration, according to the report, informed the mediators that Israel has reservations about a number of understandings on the matter, especially those related to Hamas remaining a political party in the Palestinian arena.
According to the source, the Palestinian Authority has no reservations about the Americans' understandings with Hamas as long as it establishes an end to the war, stabilizes the ceasefire, and accelerates the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said in response to a report on Sky News: "To the extent that the publications about the feasibility of allowing Hamas murderers to continue to exist in Gaza are true, they are very serious.
