Iranian President Masoud Pazakhian sent a threatening message to President Donald Trump this evening (Sunday).
In a post he published on the X network, Pazhakian wrote that harming Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would be considered a declaration of all-out war on the entire Iranian people.
Pazhakian wrote: "If there are difficulties and hardships in the lives of the dear citizens of Iran, one of the main reasons for this is the long-standing hostility and inhuman sanctions of the United States government and its allies. Harming the supreme leadership of our country means an all-out war against the Iranian people.".
Yesterday, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, gave a speech in which he pointed an accusing finger at US President Donald Trump.
Khamenei said: "We see him as guilty of the casualties, the damages and the slander against the Iranian nation" - and accused the US of direct responsibility for the violent events in the country.
Meanwhile, the deployment of American forces continues to intensify. The prevailing assessment is that an operation against Iran has once again become a question of "when" rather than "if.".
An Iranian official confirmed to Reuters that at least 5,000 people have been killed so far in the protests.
