In a joint operation by the General Security Service and the Israel Police in the Northern District, a 15-year-old boy, an Arab-Israeli resident of the North, was arrested in recent weeks after suspicions arose that he had been in contact with terrorist elements.

During his interrogation, it emerged that the boy had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State-Daesh organization, and detailed instructions for making an explosive belt were also found in his possession.

It also emerged that, as part of his contacts with elements affiliated with the organization abroad, he took practical steps to prepare himself to carry out an attack.

In addition, the investigation material further revealed that the boy expressed sympathy for past attacks against the State of Israel, along with hopes for its destruction. In addition, he took part in extremist discourse against members of other religions, including Christians and Muslims who do not share his extremist worldview.

Today (Thursday), at the end of the investigation, an indictment was filed against him by the Haifa District Attorney's Office.
