The police investigation into the case of the dayanim Rabbi Dov Domb of the Tel Aviv Rabbinical Court and the dayanim Moshe Ohanuna of the Petah Tikva Rabbinical Court has been concluded.
The case was investigated by the National Fraud Investigation Unit (NFIU) Lahav 433.
A few months ago, the Jewish High Court opened an investigation, in light of suspicions that the judges acted to influence parties in a number of divorce cases brought before them, while discrediting witnesses to change their testimony, obstructing legal proceedings and investigations, and breaching trust.
During the investigation, several additional suspects were questioned, dozens of testimonies were collected, and materials related to the affair were seized.
The head of the AHM accepted the unit's position that an evidentiary infrastructure has been formed for the commission of the offenses attributed to the suspects.
The investigation file was transferred for further processing to the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, which is overseeing the handling of the case, and will be brought to the decision of the Attorney General, who approved the investigation of the suspects.
