Right-wing activist Ayelet Lash arrived today (Tuesday) at the offices of the Civil Service Commission for another evidentiary hearing in the case being conducted against her at the commission, for tweets she posted on her Twitter account against Arab terrorism.

According to the commission, Lash - who works as a teacher - published racist and incitement statements against Arabs during 2021.

The investigation process at the commission is ongoing despite the State Attorney's Office announcing long ago that the case against Lash was closed. Lash is represented by attorneys Adi Kedar and Moshe Polsky of Mhonenu.

Ayelet Lash said after the hearing: "I'm just coming out of three hours of circus, a crazy and bizarre tweet-reading ceremony, all of which came from your pocket. At least 8 people - three judges, a typist, two prosecutors, two witnesses - received a salary from your pocket today for reading posts and tweets to Ayelet Lash, which even the police had already investigated, after not seeing any problem with them but were forced to investigate at the direction of the prosecutor's office - and which no one understands exactly what the problem is with them.".

""So that you too can enjoy the show - the prosecutor showed me a tweet in which I detailed a series of nationalist terrorist attacks that occurred that week. The prosecutor slammed me for telling only about cases of rape of Arabs, and not also bringing stories about Jewish rapists.".

""In short, lots of moments that could have been entertaining if they weren't at the taxpayer's expense, as part of a sick persecution of a citizen who is bombarded with nationalist terror on a daily basis, and is now being investigated by the Commission, how dare she talk about this terror, because it reeks of racism!"

""The rest of the circus will come," she promised.

Attorney Adi Keidar: "Today, the absurd trial of Ayelet Lash continues in the disciplinary court, a trial that most clearly expresses the abuse and persecution of the State of Israel with all its arms against her.

""During the hearing, one of the prosecution witnesses revealed that the Israel Police had an opinion stating that Ayelet had not committed any offense. This is not the end of the story, we will continue to fight for her innocence, and we expect a clear and unambiguous message from the court - freedom of expression is in our blood, in our souls, both civil servants and teachers have the right to express an opinion and position, as Ayelet did for a woman who serves the public and the state in an exemplary and law-abiding manner.".
