The State Attorney's Office is expected to file an indictment tomorrow (Monday) against a resident of one of the settlements in the Gush Etzion bloc, in his 50s, who was arrested last month on suspicion of committing serious crimes against a minor over several years - since she was 4 years old.
For many weeks, investigators at the Etzion Police Station have been conducting a sensitive investigation into suspicions of serious offenses against a minor, after her testimony was received, revealing a pattern of abuse that lasted for about six years.

Immediately upon the opening of the sensitive investigation by the station's investigators, a variety of complex and professional investigative actions were carried out by police investigators and other professionals, actions that included, among other things, collecting evidence and testimonies and establishing suspicions against the suspect.
On December 23, the suspect in the serious acts was located and arrested - and as part of his interrogation, the court granted the request of the representative of the investigating unit and ordered an extension of his detention, in order to complete his interrogation.
In recent days, investigators at the Etzion Station have managed to formulate, with great professionalism, an evidentiary foundation against him, and a prosecutor's statement was filed against him on behalf of the Jerusalem Prosecutor's Office stating the intention to file an indictment against him, along with a request to detain him until the end of the proceedings.
His detention has been extended until tomorrow for this purpose.
The police emphasize the great importance of reports of these offenses "being examined and investigated in a sensitive, in-depth, professional and thorough manner, with the aim of reaching the truth and preventing the recurrence of these serious cases among additional victims, and among minors in particular.".
