The international retail chain Carrefour inaugurated a new branch in Kiryat Shmona yesterday (Tuesday), in a festive and exciting event held in the presence of rabbis, elected officials, and many residents.
The event was attended by hundreds of residents of the city and the region, who enjoyed attractive opening promotions and an advanced European shopping experience, which is coming to the city for the first time at extremely competitive prices.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Carrefour Israel CEO Michael Luboszitz, Deputy Mayor and Education Minister Rafael Salv, Chairman of the Religious Council Rabbi Yitzhak Kekun, council members, public figures and a wide audience of Kiryat Shmona residents.
The branch, which operates in the Carrefour Market format, employs workers from Kiryat Shmona and the surrounding area and constitutes a new and significant source of employment for the city.
Carrefour Israel CEO Michael Luboszitz said during the branch launch: "Carrefour came to Kiryat Shmona first and foremost for the residents - to do good, create jobs and be part of the city's recovery and growth. We call on additional businesses to come, invest and develop the area, so that residents will have both a stable livelihood and an international, high-quality shopping experience at the best prices. Here, residents deserve the same level and opportunity as anywhere else in the country.".
