The Hamas terrorist organization violated the ceasefire again: An IDF officer from the Golani Brigade was lightly injured today (Wednesday) as a result of a Nimr armored personnel carrier hitting a bomb.
The incident took place in the Jeninah neighborhood in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
An IDF spokesman said: "Earlier today, an IED was detonated on an armored vehicle during an operational activity to clear the Rafah area of terrorist infrastructure.".
It was also reported that "as a result, a combat officer was slightly injured and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. His family has been notified.".
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the incident: "The terrorist organization Hamas continues to violate the ceasefire and President Trump's 20-point plan.
""Their continued and public refusal to disarm constitutes another blatant violation, and today their violent intentions and violations were once again confirmed by the explosion of an explosive device that injured an IDF officer.".
He said, "Hamas must be forced to abide by the agreement it signed, which includes its removal from power, its disarmament, and its neutralization of radicalization. Israel will respond accordingly.".
