The arrest was made after an investigation was opened last weekend, following a report received from the Schneider Medical Center in Petah Tikva.
According to suspicion, the toddler's parents removed her from the educational setting several days before the report, and shortly thereafter they suspected that their daughter had been injured during her time at the kindergarten.
Following this, the toddler was taken for a medical examination, the findings of which seemingly confirmed the suspicions of harm, which led to the immediate report to the police and the opening of the case.
After conducting several initial investigative actions, the investigation moved to the open phase this morning with the arrest of the suspected kindergarten teacher.
She was brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court for a hearing, where it was decided to extend her detention until Wednesday.
The investigation is underway.
