Legal Advisor to the Government Gali Baharav Miyara This evening (Wednesday) came out strongly against the draft law that is being formulated.

According to her, the law "provides a response to the needs of the yeshiva and not to the urgent security needs and to reduce the burden on the public who serve. The provisions of the law create a negative incentive for conscription, and even entrench inequality in the long term.".

She added: "We believe that the proposed outline falls far short of meeting the required legal standards: its violation of equality is severe, it does not advance a worthy purpose, and its components do not meet the constitutional proportionality tests.".

""Adjusting the law to constitutional standards requires profound and comprehensive changes, including the establishment of personal, effective and immediate sanctions to enforce the conscription obligation in an equitable manner.".

Chairman of Degel HaTorah MK Moshe Gafni He responded angrily: "The state administrators in Rabbi Meyara, Gil Limon and their friends, who do not understand and know nothing about Torah study in the Jewish people - know how to express their opinion on a law that is still in the midst of discussions, when their goal is clear: to prevent, God forbid, Torah study and to make every effort to ensure that 'their state' does not assist yeshivas and Torah institutions.".

He attacked: "They always violate the norms they demand of everyone, just not of themselves.

""The government's decision on overseas students, who constitute assistance to the State of Israel, is being rejected by them with the stroke of a pen, and they are not required to account for their actions and illegal decisions.".

""Throughout the history of the Jewish people, there have been those who fought against the Holy Torah and against the Lumedi, while the Torah, blessed be God, continues to exist and guides the Jewish people, and those who fought against it have disappeared into the dust of history.".

MK Meir Porush"Attorney Miara is trying to divert the public debate from the discourse on corruption in the judicial system to the persecution of Torah scholars. In her position tonight, she emphasizes her true desire - to see yeshiva students in prison and create an irreconcilable rift within the people.".

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth"Nice attempt, Attorney Miara, to distract the discussion with the opinion, exactly on the day when dark questions are being raised regarding your involvement in the Yemeni field affair. Nice attempt, but not this time.".

Shas faction"In a transparent and embarrassing maneuver, the ousted attorney general is trying to hit the Torah world in order to divert attention from one of the most serious scandals in the history of the country in which she is suspected, which has severely damaged Israel's security and IDF soldiers.".

""Her opinion is detached and does not reflect the military's position. The strident political tone of her letter reveals her goal to overthrow the right-wing government and prevent its dismissal.".

""The law is being accompanied throughout by the Knesset's legal advisor and she will represent it when necessary. In contrast to the attorney general and her group, who persecute every sign of Jewish identity, the people of Israel will continue to cherish the Torah scholars who preserve the Jewish embers for generations.".

Chairman of the Noam Party, MK Avi Maoz"The fired attorney general proves once again that she does not want the recruitment of ultra-Orthodox, but only to overthrow the right. Those who radicalize her, rule out any solution and push an entire public into a corner, ensure that not a single ultra-Orthodox will enlist. This is what a politician looks like in the guise of a clerk.".
