Immediately upon receiving the report, police officers, with the assistance of observers from the district control center, worked to locate the suspects in the acts of violence, with the goal of capturing them before they caused further damage or injuries.
During the manhunt, a 17-year-old resident of the neighborhood was located at his home and arrested by police. He was taken for questioning at the Lev HaBira police station.
Shortly afterwards, the second suspect, an 18-year-old resident of the neighborhood, was located and arrested by the police for questioning.
According to suspicion, the two were riding around the neighborhood on electric bicycles, attacking innocent passersby - one, a sanitation worker who was cleaning the street in the neighborhood, was beaten vigorously with both hands, resulting in serious injuries to his face and requiring medical treatment, and the other - a bus driver who was violently attacked and the two caused injuries to him.
The two violent suspects will be brought before a magistrate's court today, in order to extend their detention.
The police investigation is continuing with the aim of bringing them to justice accordingly.
