
A one and a half year old toddler was taken to the hospital this evening (Wednesday) in serious condition, after falling from a height on Yitzhak Nissim Street in Bnei Brak.
Rescue forces called to the scene provided the toddler, who was unconscious with a head injury, with initial medical treatment - and he was evacuated in serious condition for further treatment at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
Zvika Zanzuri, a senior medic in the United Hatzalah emergency unit, who arrived first at the scene: "According to his family, he fell from a table he was climbing on in his home and was seriously injured in the head.
""With the assistance of other paramedics, I provided him with medical treatment at the scene, and then he was taken to the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, in a confused state of consciousness and in serious condition.""
Rescue paramedics Avromy Englerd and Elimelech Kneppelmacher said: "When we arrived at the scene with a rescue ambulance that we staff, we found a one and a half year old toddler unconscious with a head injury, after he fell and was injured in his home. Together with rescue and MDA paramedics, we provided him with initial medical treatment, including immobilization and dressings, and evacuated him in serious condition to continue receiving medical treatment in the trauma room at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.""
