Opposition Chairman, MK Yair Lapid, is speaking out against Democrats Chairman Yair Golan's calls for connections between Netanyahu's opponents.
""Yair Golan has no interest in ideology and we do. They are left-wing, we are center-right, these are completely different things that cannot be connected," attacked Lapid, who is floundering in the polls on the verge of the electoral threshold.

He added: "What bothers me more is that surveys and studies were presented to Yair Golan and his people that say that this talk only harms the camp's chances of winning - he still continues it for some headline. It's irresponsible and he should stop it.".
Last night, Golan claimed in an interview: "Adhering to the old paradigm of left-right-center is wrong and locks us into outdated perceptions. The real story in Israel today is the corrupt and authoritarian camp versus the liberal-democratic camp.".
He attacked the centrist leaders - Lapid, Gantz and Eisenkot - and called on them to build "a large and strong liberal-democratic camp that will provide a governing alternative.".
