During the clash on Friday night in the village of Beit Jan in southern Syria, forces from Brigade 55 were accompanied by fire, air, and artillery forces to assist them during the battle.

Listen to the communications from the combat helicopters that assisted the forces during the moments of the encounter:

The encounter occurred during a pre-planned arrest operation in the town of Beit Jenn of terrorists from the Islamic Jemaah organization, who operated in Beit Jenn, located 11 km from the Israeli border, and promoted terrorist plots against Israel.

Six officers and soldiers were wounded by gunfire in the encounter, three of them seriously. Unit 669 rescued the wounded soldiers under fire and they were evacuated for medical treatment.

The close-range, face-to-face encounter began after the force arrested three terrorists.

The three were arrested in their beds, and upon leaving the Syrian town, an IDF Hummer was shot at by terrorists who had ambushed the forces on the roof of a nearby building. The military Hummer got stuck, and was subsequently bombed by the IDF from the air. At the same time, aerial fire support was provided to the forces.

The nighttime activity was carried out as part of Operation "Arrow of Bashan," which has recently included dozens of arrests in Syrian territory.

The IDF reported that the suspected terrorists were arrested and several terrorists were eliminated.

According to reports in Syria, 13 Syrians were killed and 25 were injured.
