Last week, Channel 12 covered the defense of protest activist Ilan Shiloah, in a lawsuit filed against him by businessman Michael Mirilashvili, the father of Channel 14 owner Yitzhak Mirilashvili.
The article, published in the "Main Edition" and submitted by Yonit Levy, claims that Mirilashvili Sr. is the real owner of Channel 14, and that he uses it to incite against the protesters and echo the government's words - in exchange for benefits.

At the end of the article, words were presented by the channel's rising star, presenter Yehuda Schlesinger, who, despite the war year, claimed ahead of Rosh Hashanah that "it was an excellent year.".
Schlesinger decided to respond to the article and also to the way in which the editor chose to respond to the article.
On his Instagram account, Schlesinger wrote:
""Hey Channel 12, I understand what you did here, the darkness, the quote that was saved for closing the article and Yonit's eyebrows, it's impossible without Yonit's eyebrows.
How did it happen that out of all the quotes and fabricated storms surrounding Channel 14, you chose my monologue, which says it was a good year, to end your childish manifesto?
Two possibilities: 1. You were looking for something personal against me because you're a little stressed about what's happening in the ratings charts at 7 p.m. 2. In your opinion, seeing the good that happened is truly delusional.
It's an illusion that we didn't drown in the Gaza mud like you described, it's an illusion that we didn't lose like you predicted, it's an illusion that we succeeded in front of the world contrary to what you broadcast, it's an illusion that we defeated Hezbollah, it's an illusion that our soldiers won in Gaza, it's an illusion that we destroyed the Syrian army, it's an illusion that our pilots hit the Iranians hard, it's an illusion that Israel restored deterrence, it's an illusion that the hostages were returned alive, it's an illusion that the US is with us, it's an illusion that the economy is growing despite the war, it's an illusion that Israel has an advantage when you encourage a decline.
So yes, just as it was said in the monologue - out of immense pain and a ringing slap, a giant emerged who stood up, fought and won.
But that's how it is, those who broadcast black cannot see the light. Those who, for two years of war, broadcast hunger, oppression, weakness, humiliation, sighing and despondency - do not see the achievements. In their eyes, this is a delusional statement. That is precisely why you are in a crash and a decline.
Good luck to you, continue to raise eyebrows. The people of Israel are alive.".
