Attack during coordinated harvest: Arab rioters who arrived today (Thursday) for a coordinated harvest attacked Israel Rapaport, owner of the Nof Avi farm near the settlement of Migdal, with stones.
The rioters arrived at the scene, and after a short time began attacking Rappaport, who was there, and he was slightly injured in the face by stones thrown by the rioters.
Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Council, spoke with him after the attack and called for the attacker to be arrested.
Israel Rapaport, the owner of the farm that was attacked, who recalled: "I was with two army jeeps that arrived to secure the farm. I identified about 10-20 harvesters who entered the farm's grounds, adjacent to the farm, before the planned time and not through the security checkpoint.
""At a certain point, some of the Arabs began shouting, threatening and going wild. One of them picked up a stone, and he and his brother started attacking me with fists in the face. It took some time for me to come to my senses, I walked back a little, and then I managed to beat off the army forces. As soon as the attackers and the terrorist realized they were coming, he actually ran away, fled towards the road, and at the moment they haven't caught him yet.".
The head of the Samaria Council reacted sharply and called for the arrest of the attackers. "In recent years, the harvest season has become a season of provocation and incitement by extreme left-wing elements and hostile elements from Israel and abroad - the harvest season has become the season of instigators. We demand the immediate arrest of the attacker and those who incite and accompany these events. It is not possible for a Jewish farm owner to be attacked with stones during a harvest that was approved by the IDF, and we will put this on the agenda.".
He emphasized that the council will continue to stand by the farm owners throughout the region: "The residents here are doing the simplest Zionist act - building, cultivating, developing the land. The state must protect them. Anyone who exploits the harvest to create terror must understand that in the face of violence and provocations there will be enforcement and zero tolerance.".
