MK Zvi Sukkot contacted the police, through attorney Yitzhak Bem, demanding that the summons for questioning be canceled, which was scheduled for next week in the Southern District's fraud unit, as part of the break-in at the Yemenite Field base - following the Attorney General's conduct in the case.

According to Attorney Bem, the investigation relates to the suspicion of a "hack" into the Yemeni air base last summer, but it cannot be conducted with integrity in a system that, according to him, is "tainted with corruption and serious conflict of interest.".

In the letter, Attorney Bem, who represents the MK along with Attorney Adi Keidar on behalf of Honenu, notes that MK Sukkot was summoned for questioning following an incident in which Force 100 fighters were arrested by masked men who turned out to be military police, and adds that in light of what he defines as "severe institutional decay," the summons should be revoked.

It was also written that "following the wave of public criticism against the Military Prosecutor's Office, former MAG Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi leaked to Channel 12 a biasedly edited video, intended to present the fighters in a negative light.".

The lawyers claim that after petitions were filed with the High Court demanding an investigation into the leak, an investigation team was established that "acted only for show," under the supervision of Legal Advisor to the Government Gali Baharav-Miara, who refrained from stopping the omissions and even submitted responses to the High Court that "did not include the truth.".

According to the defense attorneys, senior officials in the Military Prosecutor's Office knew about the MAG's involvement in the leak, but false affidavits were submitted that were intended to prevent the truth from being revealed, while Tomer-Yerushalmi's mobile device - which, according to the letter, constitutes key evidence - "miraculously disappeared.".

The letter also states that the Attorney General is in a serious conflict of interest between her duty to investigate the truth and her desire to "cover up her part in the cover-up," and therefore "a system that has lost its integrity can no longer investigate, because truth is not the purpose of its investigation. Therefore, I ask you to cancel the summons for the investigation of MK Zvi Sukkot.".

Sukkot's lawyers said: "At a time when the house of cards of the Yemeni field events has collapsed and the corruption that accompanied the case from its beginning has been exposed, the last thing the Israel Police should do is investigate members of Knesset for their activities, which are obliged by reality, and by law, to monitor and prevent harm to IDF soldiers.".
