The officer from the Military Prosecutor's Office, who exposed the leak and cover-up affair through a polygraph test at the Shin Bet, was confronted last night (Tuesday), during a police investigation, with the former Chief Military Prosecutor, Lieutenant Colonel Matan Solomesh.
According to a report by Doron Kadosh on Galei Tzahal, during the confrontation, Solomesh claimed that he only learned about the leak in retrospect - "a day or two after it was committed.".
He said that when he heard about the incident, he contacted officials at the prosecutor's office and wrote that he was surprised by the incident and believed it was a mistake.
The officer, on the other hand, slammed him: "That's not true, you knew about the leak in real time, you were part of the circle of secret partners.".
According to her, on the same day the video was leaked to the media, relevant correspondence took place between her and Solomesh, which she presented to police investigators.
The confrontation between the two took place as part of the criminal investigation currently underway by the police, after information was received about the involvement of senior officials in the Military Prosecutor's Office in leaking investigative materials from the 'Yemen Field' affair and submitting a false affidavit to the High Court of Justice.
Today, the detention of Solomesh and the dismissed MP, Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi, is expected to be extended at the request of the police. The police are requesting an extension of the detention by two days.
