Legal sources estimate today (Tuesday) that the privatization of the current affairs department at the military radio station Galei Tzahal will be complex to implement - and therefore Defense Minister Yisrael Katz is expected to decide to close the station.
According to a report this evening (Tuesday) on Kan News, the Defense Minister's final decision is expected to be made in the coming days.
Earlier today, the committee examining the future of Galts recommended that Minister Yisrael Katz close the military station or stop broadcasting current affairs.
Galgalatz station is expected to continue broadcasting music.
Defense Minister Katz, who is expected to publish his decision on the matter soon, responded to the committee's recommendations: "I thank the committee members for their thorough, serious, and professional work, and for the great investment in examining all aspects related to the activities of the IDF Waves. As I have made clear in the past, I am not willing for the current situation to continue. I will study the committee's recommendations seriously and will announce my decision soon.".
