The Hamas terrorist organization announced today (Tuesday) that it intends to return to Israel two additional kidnapped martyrs who were held in the Gaza Strip over the past two years.
The coffins will be delivered to Israel at 9:00 PM.
Hamas's announcement comes after an explicit threat from President Donald Trump, which he posted on his social media account Truth.
Trump's threat refers to the possibility of international intervention in the Gaza Strip and to a report published today in the New York Times: "Many of our great allies in the Middle East and surrounding regions have informed me explicitly and firmly, and with great passion, that they would be happy, at my request, to enter Gaza with a large force and 'straighten Hamas' if the organization continues to act improperly, contrary to the agreement signed with us.".
The president continued to quibble: "The love and positive spirit towards the Middle East has not been seen like this in a thousand years! It is a beautiful thing to behold!""
The president clarified: "I told these countries and Israel, 'Not yet!' There is still hope that Hamas will act correctly. If not, the end of Hamas will be swift, furious and brutal!""
The New York Times reported, citing diplomatic sources, that various countries are hesitant to send forces to Gaza - for fear of clashes with Hamas as long as it is still armed.
According to the sources, the countries do not intend to send forces on their behalf until there is greater clarity regarding the tasks they will be given as well as the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The countries' main concern, according to the report, is that their forces should not be expected to fight against Hamas operatives, some of whom are still armed, with some citing concerns about the danger posed by the terrorist organization and its network of tunnels.
