Ilan Gilboa, the father of captivity survivor Guy Gilboa Dalal, revealed today (Friday), in a conversation with Galit Gutman and Yoav Limor on Channel 12's "Morning News," new details about his son's medical condition.

""We are slowly discovering the physical damage Guy is suffering from as a result of his captivity," Gilboa said. "He has infections in all sorts of areas of his body, he can't hear in one ear, some stomach pain and vomiting, skin problems and a vitamin deficiency. These are things I assume are reversible, the psychological team is working with him to process what happened. Slowly, with a lot of love and with family and friends around him, he will be fine.".

Gilboa spoke about the feelings when they finally had their son at home: "The feeling is crazy, we're like living in a dream. I can't believe every time I can walk into the room and hug him, it's a great happiness, we're happier than even the day he was born. We finally sat down to eat dinner together, it's such a good feeling.".

Until a few weeks ago, Guy didn't know that Gal, his brother, was alive. How was the meeting?

""Guy suddenly saw an interview on television of his brother standing with his shirt on. He realized that his brother was alive and said that it made him very happy and gave him a lot of strength. Their meeting was moving, they hugged. You saw on television how the emotions burst out, the longing, the sigh of relief that he had ended this nightmare and returned to the family - great happiness.".

The father talked about the heartwarming video in which he sees his son tasting the dessert he loved so much for the first time in two years: "These are chocolate balls that his sister has been making for him for several years and he loves them so much. The taste is amazing and it gave him a boost of emotions and flavors that he hadn't tasted in so long. It brought him back to his senses a little. We saw his reactions, that says it all.".
