A 4-year-old boy choked this morning (Monday) on a cord that was wrapped around his neck in his home in the city of Bnei Brak, while hanging decorations in the sukkah - and volunteers from the Hatzala organization saved his life at the last minute.
Rescue crews were called to an apartment in the city following a report of a child choking.
The organization's volunteers, Leiby Weiss and Shmuel Rotenberg, arrived at the scene shortly after, and noticed the child with a cuff tied around his neck in a way that blocked his windpipe.

The volunteers acted quickly, cutting the cuff using specialized equipment, and restoring the child's ability to breathe. "By the grace of God, the child has returned to breathing normally," the volunteers said.
